************************************************************************* Will Zuzak; DEMANK.014 = Francuch VOA article; 1994-02-25 ************************************************************************* Dear Subscribers: A story filed by Paul Francuch; 1994-02-24 7:52pm, appears in the Voice of America (VOA) news listings for Friday, 1994-02-25. Francuch reports that the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the OSI appeal of the Court's 1993-11-17 ruling that the OSI was guilty of prosecutorial misconduct constituting fraud on the court during the denaturalization and extradition proceedings against John Demjanjuk in 1981 and 1986. The OSI plans to appeal to the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, further in the story Mr. Francuch includes the following disinformation: //OPT//MR. DEMJANJUK ADMITS HE WORKED IN NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMPS, BUT SAYS HE WAS FORCED INTO GUARD DUTY AS A PRISONER OF WAR. HE HAS ALWAYS DENIED THE CHARGE THAT HE WAS THE INFAMOUS "IVAN THE TERRIBLE//OPT// Mr. Demjanjuk has consistently denied that he was ever in Treblinka, Sobibor or Trawniki. He has never worked as a guard in any German concentration camp. This is pure fabrication on the part of Mr. Francuch! If anyone has seen/heard this news item on radio, TV or the newspapers (especially the disinformation) please let me know. If anyone can contact Mr. Francuch and point out his error, please do so and/or send me his phone /fax/Email numbers. With thanks **************************************************************************** Will Zuzak; DEMANUK.014 = Francuch VOA article; 1994-02-25 ****************************************************************************
